The essentials are five, they are:
CONCRETE: You focus on behaviors that can be improved. The
coach uses language that gets to the point and encourages the person doing the
"training" to be specific. It focuses on the objective and
descriptive aspects of performance. Performance can only be improved if it can
be accurately described so that both parties understand exactly what is being
discussed
INTERACTIVE: This type of conversation involves the exchange
of information. Questions and answers are agreed, ideas are exchanged by the
full participation of mutually parties .
SHARED RESPONSIBILITY: Both the coach and the minor have a
shared responsibility to work together on continuous improvement in
performance. All participants are responsible for making the conversation as
useful as possible and improving the performance that follows the conversation .
SPECIFIC SHAPE: This shape is determined by two main
factors: the goal of the conversation is clearly defined and the conversation
flow includes an initial phase in which the information is expanded and then
focused on certain aspects of the participants. the goal set at the beginning
of the conversation .
RESPECT: The leader using this model always communicates his respect for the person receiving the training.
VALUES: Coaching is basically based on the basic values already mentioned. If not, it just turns into a series of behavioral tricks or some great communication techniques.
RESULTS: Coaching is a results-oriented process that leads
to continuous improvement in performance, individually or in groups.
DISCIPLINE: Coaching is a disciplinary interaction. In order
to achieve the goal of continuous improvement, a coach must be disciplined
enough to create the essential prerequisites for learning, developing and
applying critical skills and the proper conduct of a coaching conversation .
TRAINING: Training is required to start real coaching
conversations. Intuitive knowledge or simply memorizing ideas and concepts is
not enough as it is no guarantee that conversations will be conducted to
improve performance.
Coaching ... The new leadership
It will be necessary to develop a leadership vision that inspires the team to achieve meaningful goals. There are many meaningful phrases like "Be number one in customer satisfaction". This phrase and many others should be an inspiring vision of leadership, a vision that all team members should share.
For all of this there are three lessons which are:
This work should be seen as something important.
That should lead to a goal that everyone understands and
shares.
These values should guide all plans, decisions, and
updates.
Leading successful teams is the art of transcendent foresight, of satisfaction for outstanding performance.
A comparison table is displayed showing the general
differences between traditional leadership and leadership coaching.
